By Water, Land and Air
(7/5 Trochee Form)
Ships are used for transport, while
speed boats are for fun:
zooming over water while
soaking up the sun.
Those who like to fish might like
slow boats or canoes,
but the thought of fishing just
makes ME want to snooze.
Better is a jet ski for
thrill of jumping waves,
but for practicality,
boats are not my faves.
For convenience, everyone
has to have a car,
so for us commuters, it’s
the best one by far.
Jogging, hiking, riding bikes:
these are for the wise.
There’s not many doing them.
They spell E X E R C I S E.
For relaxing, there is one
leisurely and grand:
Take the scenic route by train
If you go by land!
If you need to go real far
in less than a day,
it’s by air you have to go.
That’s the only way!
Hang gliding or sky diving
are for feeling free,
but they seem so dangerous.
Those are not for me.
I would like to SAIL the sky
In a big balloon
underneath the dancing stars
and romantic moon.
