By the Seaside
BY THE SEASIDE
.
The sky is broken again
The shore-rocks ripped apart
Memories do last they say
My reflections so afar
No one knows how this tide rises
No one sees my tears in this crises
.
That night, it began like a movie
Her sun began to blush on summer
My eyes went deep down rolling
As she draw her feet past the border
Daughter, that was how your mother left
To rest, perhaps die in the west
.
The breeze became a glutton
Sucking my blood down to marrow
I remember the sweet me, a suitor
And how then the tracks became narrow
Daughter, the day your mother left
I bit my right eyes for my left
.
Here I am, by the seaside
Watching you grow in this water
Into a woman, a bit meaner
Than your genesis, your mother
Daughter, keep your feet off her shoe
They beat one's face into a brook
.
But if you fall by the sweet lies of war
Come find me by the seaside
So I may show you who your mother was
And how she crawled to my dream land
Daughter, It is his to build a home
If it crumbles, it is yours to make it whole
