By My Side
My life has flashed before my eyes
And you were always in it.
Now you sit here by my side,
To witness my last minute.
I would like to thank you for the love
That you would always give me;
For any wrongs that I am guilty of,
I ask you to forgive me.
Tell our children I was brave
Until the bitter end
And to me now they can pray
If ever they need a friend.
Now its time for me to go,
So I will close my eyes;
The last image I will know,
Is your beauty by my side.
