By Design

As
a blanket
upon a loom,
intricately woven
by hands full of skill,
having purpose
and design,
your countenance
portrays beauty
of blushing colors.
With hues of strength,
people are drawn to you
for your warmth.
Under the cover
of friendship,
I fall,
with no regrets.
We snuggle close,
and I bring you in
under my arm.
The cold fades away
as I make promises real.
You will be mine,
forever.
