Buttons At Your Feet
Buttons buttons everywhere
Just you stop and consider
No elastic in the olden days
And zips not in use either
Lets start at your feet
We have buttons on your shoes
A button hook was useful
Your panties had no elastic
So was buttons that kept you modest
From there we go to your bodice
Where you will find buttons by the score
A lady’s maid was employed
To sort them could take an hour
Then it is your skirt buttons
So many buttons some doing work
Others for decoration only
Making you feel and look good
Your blouse wont be outdone
With buttons on the sleeves
And tiny tiny ones down the front
When opened what a relief
Can you imagine the frustration
Of those buttons when on heat
No wonder in the fiction books
Clothes were ripped off
Landing at your feet

Continuing welsh lesson
In Wales the name for button is botwm (butoom)
But if you say botymau It means button hole. (but er maw)
As a child my name for button was oompna lol think it’s harder than botwm
