Butterflys

For every tear I swallow
Push down
And never allow to run away
The fear that stands before me
Crumbles and I see a little more out the tunnel
I pave the road before me
But before I can walk freely
To that place that feeds my soul
I must be fearless and whole
To attain the happiness my heart desires
Is not easy
The fears sit before me
Its just an illusion
My gifts are not in the physical
But I must march through the invisible
Seal up the past
Stay with the now
And wave at the future hoping it will know
I won’t give up
I will pursue the butterflies
Who show up to paint the sky around me
Pretty
While I walk alone
No pity
Just a tear that drops
Falls on my lips
Then stops
to let me taste the bitter
Before I claim the sweet
I will not accept defeat
The butterflies on the other side
Need me.
And if what they say is true
You will judge me
And that will not stop me
I’m the queen
Of my world
I make the rules
