Butterfly Pavilion

Nestled in hills of Pine Mountain, Georgia Butterflies thrive at Callaway Gardens Pavilion filled with cornucopia Vibrant beauties are captured on the lens Floral-filled setting surrounded by glass An international mixture abounds Each majestic beauty in its own class Flittering, fluttering, flying around Magnificent magenta and sapphire Flaunting deep purples and vivid yellows The Lord blessed each with stunning attire And they seem to be such carefree fellows Pavilion visitors stand in great awe Marveling at creatures without a flaw

The Lord DID dress these butterflies in a stunning attire. If u only knew how crazy I am about butterflies! Lovely poem, Carolyn. Thanks for your kind words on Sitting In This Cold Metal Chair Where the Lord Has Placed Me. I am sending it to a nursing journal for publication as requested by my fine arts professor. :) Working on judging the Easter Contest! Whoa! This is a DIFFICULT TASK!! Blessings! Gwendolen

Our local science center has a similar butterfly exhibit from time to time that my daughter likes to visit. You can spray your finger with sugar water and the butterflies will come to suck it off. Fun poem, Carolyn!

Awesome writem Carolyn! Very vivid in colors! Good luck in the contest. Thanks for your kind comments on my latest. I'm doing a little better, but now back to where I'd like to be just yet. I felt robbed of something inside me, and although I'm better, it's still somewhat disturbs me. Thanks for caring! Love, your friend, Caroline.

Carolyn, I especially like the second and third stanzas here with awesome imagery depicting the butterflies fluttering around so colorfully. I think I read of this tourist attraction one time when I was studying lesson plans to teach tourist spots to my students. What a great way to do the sonnet contest!
