Butcher

Scans from side to side,
Bag of tricks in his damp hand,
Breathing heavy now,
Hears voices and creeps away,
Unobserved in the dense fog.

Spots a lone woman,
Approaches, raises his hat,
She smiles, takes his arm,
He knows she doesn’t suspect
That he is Jack the Ripper…

I really dig this one. I love stephen king kind of stuff! SInce seeing the winners list, I realized many people wrote about anything related to a bag of tricks, so yours is very deserving of the winner circle and in my opinion, an even higher spot! Luv, Andrea

A bloody, awful bag of tricks. I'm reading one now by James Patterson - Pop Goes the Weasel - which reminds me of that smooth talking maniac Jack. Luck in the contest. Love, daver

Jack, I read something about a member of the Royal Family being suspected as Jack the Ripper. Wonder if you heard anything about this. Scary poem; I love it! Best wishes in the contest. Love, Carolyn

hmmm, I thought this poem was supposed to be describing one's OWN personal bag of tricks. You are one scary dude then. heehee. I really LIKE this one, Jack. and you DID use your own name after all. VERY good!!
