But I wrote a poem for you

So you couldn't be that unimportant for me, could you? "You know, I loved you in the past, I was so cringe, time flew so fast." I heard him say, as he could rest, After years of trials, he felt blessed. Though his face was all smiles, so dear, I saw his eyes, reflecting fear. "No, but you were cute and kind." "Really? Wasn't I annoying in your mind?" he laughed, not blind. "Maybe, but you made me feel so right. Though you made me mad one night." "Did I? No wonder," he sighed with grace. "When jealousy filled up your face. You'd tell me to go after my crush nearby, That's the thing that made me sigh. But you weren't annoying, just concerned, you see, Sending me messages, you set me free." "I'm glad," he said, with a tone so light. "I'm glad you reassured me tonight." "Don't look after me, it's you who is tender, I like you, you know, in this moment so slender. Rejection isn't meant to be bad, Love is universal, don't be sad. And though you couldn't tell me, it’s alright, Rejection would've made you cry that night, right?" "You're right," he smiled with cheer, "But I'd be there for you, always near. When someone loves, it’s a connection that's tight, Not just friendship, something more, in the light." "Don't feel bad for loving me, don’t regret, Love is important, never a waste to forget. You taught me lessons, how to handle strife, How to approach with care in life." "Ah, you're just saying that, aren’t you?" "No, not everyone loves me, it’s true. Not everyone takes their time and care, Their energy, their tears to share." "I never cried, you never made me weep, You never said things that cut too deep." "But small actions, like avoiding your eyes?" "Yeah, you're right, I realize." "I'm sorry for that," he softly said. "It's alright," I whispered, and bowed my head.
