But For You
But for you, I would leave
But for you, I would grieve
For our lives are as one
And less you there is none
The love you give to me
Has saved my life, you see
For in the dark, I dwelled
A tree that had been felled
Yet once you came my way
The night had turned to day
I found the will to live
I found the love to give
What I say, is not new
Yet in trust, it is true
From a soul bound to break
From a heart bound to ache
But for you, life is bleak
But for you, I am weak
So much, I know not of
But I know I have love
