Burning Embers

When love walked through the door
I met a feeling I never knew before
It burned right through my heart
Yet healed me from the start
He was an angel full of light
A perfect spark; a great delight
He looked like a god from head to feet
You’re the love of my life; a burning heat
Burning embers one by one
I break every time you are gone
My world suddenly turns into black
But gets all better when you are back
Burning embers with sweet love
You are my cupid from above
Because love doesn’t have any bars
We have a place up in the stars
I remember the time I was broken apart
But that changed when you mended my heart
