The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Burn

"BURN"

for the good
for the bad
the ember you
placed shines in
the darkest of
my corners.
question after question,
my mind wanders.
if I could
only get you
to understand you’d
understand.
I suppose however,
this is what
is.
I love you
and you don’t
love me.
you’re the ember
that shines but
moves in silence
to avoid me.
a blaze can
burn and an
ember destroy.
there’s nothing left
but the ashes
you’ve reduced me
to.
