Buried Sin

Sometimes I feel confused and I know I’ll reach for that cup that overflows Overflows with love, joy and grace Reminding me why I need His embrace Embrace of One who saved my soul There isn’t a doubt He made me whole Whole so that nothing can ever take away The beautiful light He shined down that day Day when my heart was filled with His love The kind of love that comes from God above Above, there lives One who knows my pain He makes a way when I’m walking in the rain Rain that falls to remind me of my heart’s tears And the One who silences all my darkest fears Fears that haunt me with their urgent doubt Seeking to dissuade me, but I know the way out Out of the pain, out of the sorrow that abides He brings peace to my life as He gently guides Guides me through the shadows, into the light Where I see my Father making all things right Right with my God, right with my Savior He always forgives me for the worst behavior Behavior that tells me there’s still work to do So I open my bible and meet the One I always knew Knew in my heart that Jesus came to save Even the worst sins, He sincerely forgave Forgave me so that I can shine, white as snow Because of the cross where His blood did flow Flow so that I could know a peace that defeats the adversary With forgiveness for all my sins, sins Jesus’ love did bury
