Bunny Grows Up
Bunny Grows Up
On this August bright summer day,
A bunny sat with her nose twitching.
Bunny was wishing and wishing.
That the big mean dogs leave her alone.
She was hidden in high, verdant grass,
Waiting for a chance to run home.
Mother Bunny was home making carrot cake,
She coulcd smell the aroma, oh!
Bunny was drooling for it and so.
Though she knew mean dogs were at her heels,
Understood this was her chance to Hop and run
Arrive home with Bunny Mom, hugged in the sun.
How wonderful to be back with Mother.
She was safe and not hounded by others.
The sun set quietly in the West.
Bunny had overcome her predators
Three cheers for her.
Kitty laid next to her, oh how she purred.
They were both learning how to handle fear
Mother loved their resolve and cheered.
The moon blest them, the stars caressed them
