Bullying Is a Big Deal
This is becoming such a big deal that it is on television.
So now it is time we need to make a decision.
Most of us won't understand this fully,
but we need to talk to our kids about being a bully.
So many of us think, so what, they are just young.
Yes they are, but we can't go on, just biting our tongue.
This is a real problem, happening everyday in our schools.
Kids being picked on, yelled at, and being made fools.
When I was young, I did it to others and got my far share.
For a while I could take it, no big deal, I didn't care.
But after a while it builds up inside and hits a ceiling.
Then they aren't just words anymore, its how you are feeling.
After so long you start to believe what they say and all of that.
Then when you look in the mirror and see nothing but fat.
You begin to feel so bad you become frantic.
I was only about 10 pounds over weight, I was not gigantic.
The more you say it though, the more it becomes real.
Now, 10 years later, I still hate my reflection and the way I feel.
You can't believe how deep this is and how much I got hurt.
I'm 27 now and when I go to the beach, I still won't take off my shirt.
This hurts kids so much, but we can't see whats on the inside.
The only time we see it, is after its too late, after their suicide.
A kid won't tell you its happening, because they want you to think they're okay.
But it goes on more than you think, it will be happening today.
