Build Me a Home

Build me a home where I can stay with you,
a home that you will keep for me awhile,
till I must say to earthly life adieu,
anon than please reside in high class style.
What care do I have seeking fancy ware,
God's loving presence makes the home complete,
and I am asking you this day to share,
a lovely place where you and I can meet.
Then take this my hand leading me thus home,
to cottage dwelling you have made for me,
from wounded side I'll never seek to roam,
contented great your smiling face to see.
Build me a home where I can stay with you,
Redeemer knowest my love's very true
