Broken: Poor Pandemic

All of a sudden she sought out the sale,
Math was her new daily study,
Where every new price had its own ratio,
She now valued every bit of her money,

Her old beat up car no longer needed a fix,
Her bills seemed more than she had,
And she realised her addiction to smoking all day,
Took away her feeling of sad,

Since the pandemic walked in, stole her income away,
Her job had just walked out the door,
She realised, in a rush, when she spent her last dime,
That she was now the face of the poor.
