BROKEN PIECES

College graduation Day
Proud moment
Achieving beyond measure
Struggles through the pleasure
Cheers from my class mates
Loud approval from my family
Valedictorian voice
“Words of Elevation”
Sensation image
Honor that follows all
My Father by my side
However, took my trophy’s given and smashed them
You smashed my awards, but can’t smash what was achieved
My heart knows what I established and conquered
You cut my heart like thorn falling from a tree
Even with that feeling, I still believed in myself always will
Dad, you want me to feel like a graduation failure
A picture with no name, face and frame totally blank
You want me to be ashamed in front of everyone
I can’t and I won’t
You gave me value and made me strong through your own words of encouragement throughout
I won’t cry, but stand proud no matter what you think
No pause nor still
Holding my head up in dignity and honor
You shed darkness, but light brightens my path in preserver
Dad, I looked up to you during my years, but now I look up to myself for being the person I was meant to be
Brought the true meaning of success and behind it is confess
Life doesn’t stop
It’s pages of life full of fulfillment, contentment and purpose
Conclusions that were transformed into tomorrow’s wisdom
Passing the torch for others to follow
Being one’s own legacy symbol
Assurance outcome
Destiny enriched
Standing on solid ground words
Today, tomorrow and the future
Today it was and tomorrow to always be.
