Broken Melody (Long Version)

Sing

  that broken melody

     O, my heart

    as my thoughts

    choke on you

    gasping for air

    pretend to cry

    speak no lie

     as you try

   to forget him

          Sing

  that broken melody

         O, my

   heart shall beat

   for the last time

   like a black hole

   you left my soul

   dark and empty

You're not related to Rod McCuen are you. Maybe his name is McKuen now that I think about it ... anyway .... smile .... Amazing how our soul can bear the pain and smile at another day ... wonderful write here and a well deserved win in Michael's contest. Congratulations!
