Broken Man

Rounded shoulders
A broken man
The life drained
Clear out of him

His heart
Chewed
And spit out

Injured
Crushed
Nothing
But a shell

Barely
A ghost
Of the man
I knew

Devastating---ly precise! Theodore Dreiser is beaming down from Heaven at you. A FAVE for me, Line. Best wishes, Gershon
