Broken Love

If life were but an ocean
That gently but surely returns debris back to shore
Perhaps it would have undone our mistakes
And I may yet again have another chance at your heart and love

Much more than beautiful poetry to tease and tantalize
I stand here broken and begging for love, yes for your love
Oh that Venus would arise and summon cupid
Just maybe then, my aching heart will yet know some balm...
