Broken Lives

The flowers beside the pulpit-
         The man of God-
           Spake in front-
          His face radiant-
Eye deep-rooted in the skull-
       Whole congregation-
           Silently nodded-
Eyes pasted on the movement-
             Of his hand-
        Way the pendulum-
      Swung from time to time-
           Beneath the roof-
Outside the world about to rain-
             Broken lives-
               Restored-
       That's what he said-
               Insisted-
Like he dances on the stage.
