Broken Ii

Spirits clash,
                       And she understands-
The sound of silence-
          Beyond wrath's dark carnival;
              Shivering...
Deathly words spoken...
              Intense...
                      Breathing dejected...
A rose whose stem bleeds-
                                   Ever so slowly;
Discriminating tears fall-
                    Upon deaf ears ~
         Past injuries...memories of-
                                Lonely laughter...
Escaping...
                       Eyes closed...naked...
    Now calm...
        Lying on warm white-
Sand...smooth...
         Unangry waves,
                Appreciating the moment-
                           And its purity...
   She attempts to redress gashes-
From common knives of chaos...
                  Happiness abandoned...

      A long time ago...
