Broken Home

Wanted child
Hence i was born
Two loving parents
The perfect norm

All it takes is just one day
The marital ropes will start to fray
Parental bliss, family born
Will suddenly be not as strong

Many events make this so
For either parent to come or go
The innocents stare
In wonderment gaze
What makes their parents
Go through this phase

The make up of people
The roads they take
Is it all for themselves
Or their children's sake

In many a city
In many a town
Parental off roaders
Tear family life down

Utopia will never be ,the worlds perfect family
It takes real love and affection to make them stay
50 - 50 each have their say
If it's not to be either will roam
Leading to
Another Broken Home

Birds sing more sweetly away from mother's nest ... and we grow character to sing after experience ... and I have learned that to love self least is to love others best ... and this alone past all the tests. Full empathy on the subject ... so creative the way you handled it ... a great poem.

So sad so many children have to go through this. Too many run when the going gets tough instread of supporting each other. Interesting perspective on this ever increasing social problem. Keep on writing! Thank you for your kind words on my haiku. Karen

so rightly said. and it's heartbreaking. and the only answers i see are either Jesus or the Taliban. personally, i prefer the former. the worst part is it can happen to you just like it happened to me. john h loving iii

James, this says so much. Children pay the price so often. I love the phrase"parental off roaders".BG
