Broken Hearted
My heart broken, fragmented and shattered,
you left me suddenly for the unknown;
now, my love and path - just pages scattered,
your soul to another far realm has flown !
Lost, to wander a cruel world forlorn,
my anchor, safe harbor and true north gone;
forever, and ever, ever to mourn,
to recall and weep and weep each new dawn !
Why the Lord took you that day deep shrouded,
we never know the reason for a death;
and now my thoughts are tattered and clouded,
held you to my heart to hear your last breath !
Never to be forgotten my true love,
and can you watch over me from above !
