Broken Chains

There was a time when I did not see how lost I truly was. It wasn't until you came to me that I could see my flaws. It seemed as if my heart was trapped by a tough steel wall, and around my foot I carried a heavy chain and ball. I don’t know how much time I spent just kneeling in the sand. So close to me, my Savior bent and held me in His hand. I was so broken before my Lord. My heart cried out to Him. I saw the light of the living word, a light that would not dim. It beckoned me to follow it, and follow it, I did. I know that I will not forget the words the Father said: “My Child, I love you so much more than you could ever know. I let these trials come to you for I wanted you to grow.” “Don’t lose heart for I am here, and I will always be. To your Father you are dear. My child, now you are free.” The chains that held me captive Broke and snapped in two. For today and as long as I live, My Savior, I Love you. I love you for saving my soul When it was truly lost. Thank you for making me whole. I know you paid the cost.
