Notes About The Poem

Broken

Broken

I struggle with the words to say
and so they go unspoken.
Sometimes I can't find my way
there's part of me still broken.

I've really come a long long way
though I know that you can't see.
You look as I am standing here
not as I used to be.

There were days not long ago
when inside my soul was dark.
No flame and no desire
no ember and no spark.

And then I saw right through the clouds
the Son began to shine.
He saw something more in me
I'm His and He is mine.

I looked up all the words in red
every word that He had spoken.
He saw through the darkness.
He saw past where I was broken.

Like a potter with His clay
there were angels He would send.
Sending me strength on their wings
to help my heart to mend.

Thankful for the lessons learned
and what He saw in me.
Thankful for Gods angels
and things still yet to be.

Thankful for His promises
and words that He has spoken.
Thankful He's still using me
in spite of being broken.

I think we all feel broken or shattered at times but He never gives us more than we can handle...Tim

It's been quite a party :) But my success rate for survival so far is 100%. I'm ok. We're all ok. But I'm better with you than I ever was without. :)

A poem of hope Edwin - from reading some of your other poems you have been on a tough life journey - being able to get out thoughts on paper helps with the healing process:-) Hugs Jan xx 7 xx

Jan. I'm not exaggerating at all when I say I'm better for finding poetry soup. And you. Ed
