  1. First stanza: 9a, 9a, 4b, 4b;

  3. Third stanza¨8e, 9e, 9f, 8f

Bridal Shower

Gifts come in large, delightful packages
So they will not suffer damages,
Wrappings aside
For anxious bride,

Impatient to see what’s in store
Ribbons and paper cast to floor.
The box is open
Gift is not broken~~

Hiding any disappointment
Bride will feign plenty of excitement,
And quickly move on to the next gift
Which gives her spirit a new lift.

Thanks, Rico. I like the format a lot, but it proved more difficult than I thought it would be.

No, thank you, Caren! I sincerely hope the Trixie Bee will be granted "New Type of Poem" status. It is certainly worthy. Frankly, I enjoyed working with it, but I can tell you it is NOT easy! Sometimes one syllable can throw me into a tailspin. Very creative of you, Caren...why am I not surprised??????? I hope Emile Pinet gives it a try, too.
