Breathless
Breathless is the way I feel
whenever you’re around;
just your presence in the room
even without a sound.
Breathless is the way I get
as you walk across the floor,
and brush against me as you pass,
and leave my heart to soar.
Breathless is the way I am
When your gentle lips meet mine;
Warm and wet and tender
and soft as summer wine.
Breathless is the way I’m left
whenever we make love
and drift off into slumber
under the stars above.
