Breaking the Bonds

Attachment
Why do I allow myself
To succumb to your worthless grips
Instead why don’t I simply
    Allow myself
To be like the ocean
Wave after wave
Flowing free
Rather than be so simply
Like a bird in a cage
Filled so easily with unnecessary rage
For a bird is meant to fly
...
I should be MORE
No I should be LESS
    NO
I should simply be
For then you’ll see
Quite simply me
I and I

A wonderful write. It would be lovely if it made people think. I hope it does.

I’m still in a process of breaking the bonds. I greatly appreciate your comments here.

The frustration of self calls from the soul of this poem. Nicely done. I hope you make a decision that makes your next ones easier.
