Break Me

I look up to see it coming,
A fist battered and bloody,
I know the pain it is carrying,
Yet I wish to feel it so clearly.

I make no attempt to avoid it,
Simply feel the crunch,
The fist connects with a shattering hit,
Yet I am no mans easy lunch.

I cannot feel the pain,
I feel my pride swell,
I can no longer contain,
My inner hell.

Rising from the darkness,
The crowd chanting,
The people will confess,
They heard bones breaking.

The fight is over now,
The people have nothing left to see,
Him and I take our final bow,
In unison say; you will never break me.
