Break Free
From the moment we,
Exit our mother’s womb;
We all start life in a cocoon.
Not prepared to leave home,
Yet we want to live on our own.
So many of us want to break free,
But nothing in life is ever free.
Now, wake up and get on your feet.
Today is not for you to sit and weep,
Time is not waiting for you, nor me.
Screw the people holding you back,
Let them go and don’t look back.
Look to your future and not your past.
You don’t have time to focus on that;
Your time is now and that’s a fact.
The world is obsessed with,
Knocking you down and out.
Instead of going down with the fall,
Act and rise above it all.
It’s up to you from here on out.
