Bread and Butter Boat
An engineer designed ingenious boat
Bread and butter he constructed with
Believing it the best for long journeys
Both food store and water-car it was
Passengers clambered and fought hard
As seats were very few and time limited
It was amazing to use bread- butter boat
The unborn, young, old craved to use it
Yet all who rode it went not for journey
It was a feast journey of merry making
The sides, bottom and engines were eaten
Holes developed wide and the boat sank
Passengers could not learn from the tragedy
Those who swam to safety still fought back
