Bravery Hurts

A wind shift in the weather

A chill running through the spine

Frost bitten and paralyzed

From the waist up and down

To scared to make the first move

To afraid of the outcome

To fearful to ask that question

Heart pumping fast

Body frozen stiff

Face as red as a cherry

I cant i'm to afraid

Spirits reverberation

Um maybe maybe maybe

I can I am brave

(asked the question)

blank stare

emptiness

only

emptiness

now I know

the outcome of trying to hard

it hurts

it screams pains throughout my heart

sounds

deafening

the surrounding atmosphere

my only

outcome

of being

brave

the result being

bravery hurts
