When I don’t know how to pray, Just don’t know what to say… I remember who You are, Lord – how You stay the same, You gave Your life, accepted the shame, Even though our sins would proclaim… You were never the one to blame! When I don’t know how to pray, When the words won’t come, because I’ve gone astray… I remember who You are, Jesus – how you gave all You tore down the wall, Between my heart and His, The One who is… The Creator, the Maker, the Great I AM… The Giver of life, who gave us the Lamb. When I don’t know how to pray, Just don’t know what to say… Even when I’ve gone astray, I know that You, my precious Savior, have made a way And, despite the cost, on judgement day… I can truly say… I won’t have to pay… Despite what I owe, Because I know, I’m white as snow, Because my soul’s aglow… With the love, the hope, the faith, the grace Because You saved me from the darkest place, With salvation that time can’t erase, With redemption that nothing can replace…. Because of You, Lord, even when I don’t know how to pray, I can know that Your love and grace made a way And I’ll always be able to say… Thank You, Lord, for everything You gave When You came into this world to save Reminding each of us to be brave Because we know You arose from the grave… And, someday soon, we’ll all be with You, In heaven, where we’ll be brand-new! Thank You, Lord – for being You The One who makes all things new, The One whose love is so very true!

"Despite what I owe, Because I know, I’m white as snow, Because my soul’s aglow…" That was my favorite part of this gem of a poem. Excellent job.
