Brain Storm

bright red
against the gray
a thought startles
my everyday
meanders through
in a sluggish insistence	
that defies my ignoring
to push its color on me
beckons like a bloody finger
I'm drawn, there's no denying
evidenced by words
that chew their way
across this page
