Box of Butterflies
Box of Butterflies
So often I have seen in blue
Why is love such a mystery
I look around and see love true
for everyone except for me
Sometimes I see the world in red
I can't accept what people do
If only they would change instead
the time it takes, are minutes few
I step away when skies are gray
I shut the door and say a prayer
"Oh God, please help"
Then hear Him say
"When times are tough; just grin, and bear"
I step outside where grass is green
and take a breath for clearing skies
"I thank you, Lord, this place serene"
An opened box of butterflies
