Box 4
BOX (4)
I let the voice
recognize the box
but it sits opposite me
chewing my echo.
I stare around.
I am inside it.
The echo bounces against its walls
piercing my ear
like an earring.
My voice giggles into tears
and stands here
stuck, to remind me
that the box is stifling me
the more I grow
inside it.
