Bouquet of Flowers

BOUQUET OF FLOWERS

Bouquet of flowers
Linger in the frosty morn
For it’s October
Many of the leaves are shorn
By northern windy lancers

Yet the flowers dance
Sparkle in the morning sun
The date defied
Happy mission just begun
Summer’s passing molified

A bouquet of flowers, though so beautiful, has so many sad tales to tell. Thanks for sharing, Daver. And thank you for going through my work, really appreciate your kind comments

Lovely imagery of the enduring flowers, Daver. Some varieties succumb to the first frost, but chrysanthemums and pansies can withstand a lot of cold weather. Love the humor in the last two lines! You always bring me smiles, my friend. Love, Carolyn

Very pretty, just like that bouquet, Daver. I see some of your poems came thru in my hotmail. But are you even getting my comments to them? I think you have inadvertently blocked me in your hotmail?? NOt sure what is happening with the PFT setup. Glad to know you like those grape nuts too!! Luv, andrea
