Notes About The Poem

Bound By the Unseen

Bound by the Unseen

Straps, and wire,
cutting ropes…
that make you bleed.
Not that anyone can see,
but they are there.

We all have them.
Some are worse then others.
Some have lives,
that never…
feel peace.
The word safe,
never spoken.
Unknown.

Be aware of those around you.
Lost among the soulless,
that walk upright…
Ever eating on the weak,
easily led,
to the fires,
that burn forever,
in the black night.

Stop and remember,
How did you get where you are?
Who helped you,
when you needed it most?

If you are free,
or can see a path,
help others,
and call out.
Those still walking,
and not running,
may yet hear.

I loved this poem, Ann-especially the last verse. Helping others when we are able is what it's all about! :)

The key... so many don't bother. It takes almost nothing to change another persons life... A smile, a coat, a job, a home... God Bless you Evelyn. May He answer the prayers you hold high, and need most... especially when you least expect and need is highest... Ann
