Born To the Sun
Born to the sun
In the blink of an eye
Hair to the wind
Hands to the sky
A vision aglow
At the top of the hill
A jewel on the rise
– A heart beating still
Golden the sparkle
That glows in her eye
A filly in flower
Limber and spry
Not to be ridden
In meadow or dale
Loping in fashion
– All fellows hail!
A girl of the mountain
A child of the trail
Remote as the island
For which we set sail
To seek in the forest
To seek in the hills
The diamond of hearts
The apple to fill
The eye that’s beholden
The core of its ache
The heart that will hold it
The heart it will break –
