Boracay
.
Ah, soft, ivory sands of Boracay,
ease my weary body,
soothe my badly hurt heart,
and reassure my worried, wary mind,
that the wings of my sore soul
may know the joy of flying once more.
Let me wonder, child-like,
at a still starfish, its beauty bluish,
on the cream-white shore,
as it beckons soft the salty, sultry breeze,
that my imagination may ride high
upon the high noon tide.
Let me gaze in awe at the
intriguing, exquisite mystery
of a distant silver star up there
in this island's midnight sky
that the core of me may sigh:
Ah, ivory sands of Boracay!
