boom
plunged deep into
morning fire
smoldering dawn
burning my
dirty windshield
sweet
ribbon of highway
sprawled
beneath me
wheels churning
home
the long
long way
darkness
explodes
into day
and I'm
not quite
there
yet
but damn
it feels so good
to be this far
to be this close
boom
