I am a bookworm I love to read
Books of any kind that I fancy
My joy is to discover new fun books
My eyes delight reading in the nook

You can go places in an action story
Or books with faces can tell of glory
Some books can be sad woe is me
Or books that are rad like poetry

Discover a book and read open your mind
Have a look you never know what you’ll find

Oh, how I loved to read, from 2nd grade until my 40s I always had a book going, then I fractured my skull and couldn't retain what I read on a page after I turned it. NO pity, I'm better than golden, just reminiscing about my affair w/ books. In an office environment most people want to do lunch, I always just wanted to hide with my current book! I'm over sharing again; your poem got me going so I'm going now. LOVE the poem, Sweet Karen

So cute, Karen. I was a huge book worm until VCR was birthed . Now I only read poetry and watch shows. You should see my library of many books I bought over time intending to read them. If we ever lose power and go back to living like in the old days, I am prepared with all my books!!

I get it! I too watch mostly news shows and Netflix and read poetry. Like you I treasure books but I gave mine to my son who hoards them with his own. You are both prepared with your mini libraries! Thanks for sharing and reading Andrea.

Reading books is so rewarding. Besides enhancing one's knowledge, it delights us taking us to different places and interesting people. Sadly the younger generation has lost the habit of reading books. Well thought out. Wish you a Happy Christmas, Karen.

I agree. They read briefly the JK Rollens series with the wizards and such. Then flocked to the Harry Potter movies. Have a wonderful Christmas as well dear Valsa!
