Bonfire

write me a poem
one that caresses
my face

opening the portal
that only you
found

one that warms
my bones
and makes me forget
bonfires

iron hot
the steam rising
from the pages

whispered in my ear
the warmth
that is you

carving it’s canyon
from sunset
to the sunrise
of my soul
