Bones Ache Yet Heart Sings

Tangled within the dilemma of a monstrous disguise
I tried to free myself as it latched onto me with much more might
Swayed by its influence
Floating in the melody

An unwavering desire had struck my heart
A maimed soul had lost its path
The cry so beautiful it seemed my own
“Antonio come home” it said and I was drawn

I lost control and a limb
They say the devil charmed me in
Then why do my bones ache yet my heart sings?
