I saw a possum hangin' upside down
last night
I saw a possum hangin' upside down
last night
I said ,"Possum you're a pitiful sight
hangin' upside down in the full moon light
Uh-huh, yessir, uh-huh."
Possum said, "Old man, just mind your own
Uh-huh"
Possum said,"Old man, just mind your own
Yessir."
"Got a date at ten in the full moon light,
And she likes hangin' on her head all night.
Yessir, old man, yessir."
Saw a big gator gnawin' on a bone
Uh-huh
Saw a big gator gnawin' on a bone
yessir
Said. " Mister gator, who you chewin' on?
I hope you ain't gnawin' on my friend, John.
Uh-huh, yessir, all right."
Gator said, "Old man, just mind your own
uh-huh."
Gator said,"Old man, just mind your own
yessir."
"If I turn around and you ain't gone,
It'll be you that I'm gnawin' on.-
Yessir,yessir,yessir"
Well, I went home and had a drink
uh-huh
Said, "I'm gonna stay right where I'm at -
Leave the critters to their habitat -
yessir, I am, uh-huh."
