Body Parts

Have you ever felt like this You've given away your body parts, A family member wants your soul Your husband wants your heart. A dear old friend stopped by today And wants a small piece of your mind Your cousin sent an email She needs one day of your time. Your daughter calls you on the phone On your shoulder she does cry, Mom, what's it all about Is there a reason why? I'm in bed at seven And my husband says to me Why are you so tired How can this possibly be. I answer him when he asks With words that are untrue, I'm sorry dear but I think I have The starting of a flu. I can never tell him Today was hard you see, I gave away my body parts Now there are no parts left for me. Lynn Barany
