I have spent my life in tormenting pain,
from activities I must just refrain;
oh, the aching, throbbing, and agony,
but, I endure, I cope and don't complain.
I find tranquility in fantasy,
in the penning of divine rhapsody;
in the harmony of spirit and soul,
and I find peace . . . at the art gallery.
Courage and the strength of me is my goal,
I ignore aching and pain's rigmarole;
with resolve I control my emotion,
my spirit- with mind and body console.
I let my words soar over the ocean,
on white paper I pour my life broken;
I have spent my life in tormenting pain,
like a bird I rise, drift- never frozen.
