Bobbie Jo

Listen to poem:
Bobbie Jo does not like the rain
She pouts until she sees the sun again
She stays indoors not to get wet
Come sunny forecasts she’s all set

Bobbie Jo dislikes clouds she says out loud
Though the light fluffy ones are allowed
It's dark heavy clouds she dreads with most disdain
They're the ones who bring oncoming bouts of rain

Bobbie Jo doesn’t like to frown
So when it rains she doesn’t let it get her down
She plays all happy tunes and paints a big bright rainbow
Then calls her closest friends to say hello

Bobby Jo - cuteness personified! This poem endears itself to me, Line, as I too disdain the rain...while realizing that it's good for the flowers, the crops, the earth, yadda-yedda, bleah, bleah...The key is to smile in its grey face--just as Bobby Jo does. Really like this one. Thanks for the read! Best always, gw

Thank you so much, Gershon. Lovely visit and comment. I'll have you know that this Bobby Jo does exist. I met her at a shelter waiting for a bus. And her delightful quirkiness inspired me.
